How we handle your data.

The short version

There's no account, no login, and no sign-up. We don't store your questions, photos, or explanations on our servers. Your session history lives only in your own browser's local storage. The questions and photos you submit are sent to our AI provider to generate a response, and to Cloudflare for bot protection. That's the whole picture — the rest of this page just spells it out in detail.

What we don't collect

• No account, no email address, no name, no sign-up of any kind.
• No server-side storage of your questions, uploaded photos, or the explanations generated for you.
• No tracking cookies and no cross-site tracking.

What actually happens when you use the tool

• Your question or photois sent to our AI provider (currently Together AI) to generate the explanation, translation, or other content you requested. It's processed to produce that one response and is not used to train their models or shared with anyone else by us.
• Session history(your past questions and explanations) is saved only in your own browser's local storage. It never reaches our servers. Clearing your browser data or switching devices clears it — there's no account to sync it back from, by design.
• Bot protectionis handled by Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs in the background to tell real visitors from automated abuse. It doesn't use tracking cookies.
• Anonymous, aggregate usage analytics (which pages get visited, roughly how much traffic we get) are collected through Vercel Analytics. This is aggregate traffic data, not tied to your questions or identity.
• Optional tips are processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — Stripe handles that and emails you a receipt directly.
• Book recommendation linksmay include an Amazon Associates affiliate tag when configured, disclosed on the page where it appears. Amazon's own privacy policy governs what happens once you click through to their site.

Children's privacy

Heroic Homework Heroesis built for parents, teachers, and other adults helping a child with homework — not for children to use directly or create an account on (there are no accounts at all). We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact us at hello@sageronline.com and we'll address it.

Third-party services we use

We rely on a small number of third-party services to run the site. Each has its own privacy policy governing data they process on our behalf:

• Together AI — generates explanations, translations, and other AI content
• Cloudflare — bot protection (Turnstile)
• Vercel — hosting and anonymous usage analytics
• Stripe — payment processing for optional tips

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Since there are no accounts or email addresses on file, we have no way to notify you directly — check back here if you want to know what's current.
